HARVEST IN HAITI
by, Paulette Reed
Dear Church,
There’s a magnificent sunrise as I celebrate Easter morning in Haiti. As I write this I am surrounded by the beauty of the Creator, yet surrounded by rubble. The devastation in this nation is almost incomprehensible to the human mind.
John 12:24 says, “Unless a seed is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new seeds – a plentiful harvest of new lives.” Many, many seeds have fallen to the earth in Haiti and it is time for a plentiful harvest here. We have ministered to 1.1 million people in three days!
I plead with the church of Jesus Christ to remember the precious Haitians. No human being should have to live like this. Miles and miles of tent cities … all beds of rock.
To the Haitian People:
The Lord would say to Haiti: I love you, I love you, I love you. I have heard the wailing, I have seen the tears. I have your tears in a bottle. I am about to show Myself mighty and bring joy to your nation.
I am going to use Haiti to extend new mercies of God each morning and to remind My people that Jesus came to serve, not to be served.
The Lord says: Haiti is going to be an example of how church and government will work side-by-side. For it was never His intention that church and state be separated. It is God who places those in authority that He chooses and ordains for this hour, for this day, for this time. The government rests on His shoulders and the earth is His and the fullness thereof.
The Lord would say to Haiti: I am bringing trucks and bulldozers, trucks and bulldozers, trucks and bulldozers. As in the days of Nehemiah when the walls were rebuilt, the enemy will laugh and say it cannot be done, that you cannot revive the stones from the dusty rubble. That even a fox could knock down your walls. But, I have come to proclaim that rebuilding that was completed in history in 52 days can be completed very quickly again. For God is sending a wind of acceleration, acceleration, acceleration. You will feel the cool breeze of this wind of acceleration and it will literally lower the temperatures in your nation. It is I, it is I, it is I, says the Lord, who builds the house, so they labor not in vain.
Haiti will be a shining example of Isaiah 60:10, for the foreigners will come and rebuild the land, and kings will minister. The Lord became poor so Haiti can be rich.
