SPOIL THE STRONG MAN

The Demise of Bin Laden Beacons a Word to Us:
It seemed surreal to me to learn of the death and assassination of Osama Bin Laden as I watched my beloved Philadelphia Phillies. It was one of those moments in which you think, "Man, that's random!" The convergence of the two realities, war on terrorism and the American past time, strange, but strange in a very good way.
I offered a prayer thanking God for Binding and Destroying the Strong Man of Terrorism. Essentially, I heard myself thanking God for a man's death and feeling odd in that moment because most, if not all of my prayers and prophetic words are for Life.
Holy Spirit spoke sternly to me:
"The Father wants ALL of your enemies DEAD, entirely DEAD...and so...the Cross!"
Holy Spirit began to give me vision of the implications of the Death of the Strong Man of Terrorism: The endgame to the war in Afghanistan, a more settled Iraq, a surge in capitalism in that part of the world, and a huge number of Muslim to Jesus conversions!
Again, Holy Spirit spoke sternly:
"The Father wants ALL of your enemies DEAD, entirely DEAD...and so...the Cross!"
I began to see visions of my own life and ministry and to see the many times that Jesus defeated the Strongman in my life---literally every Strongman in my life.
Dave and I learned years ago in the realm of prophetic ministry to have our senses exercised to discern good and evil. It was a little while longer until we learned that all evil influence and leaven must be dealt a death blow of finality. We had to learn to stop all appeasement and shoot to kill with the words "for it is written."
The most difficult part of dealing that death blow is that, even though we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, there are some seemingly nice flesh and blood people who carry a Strongman Spirit or an underling of one, and they do so with the full force of their volition. We had to learn to speak the truth in Love, then allow that individual or group the opportunity to exercise their sovereignty. There was every chance that this person will choose to stay in league with a Strongman. This can be a Strongman of manipulation, control, unteachable-ness, or a refusal to submit to the Plan of God in their life: a Religious spirit. This can be a refusal to allow Holy Spirit to administrate, and this forms an allegiance with a Political spirit. Flee from those who worship in the temples of idolatry!
"Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry." 1 Cor. 10:14
For it is written:
"Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God." Psalm 119:115
For it is written:
"My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, [and] apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as [for] hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God." Proverbs 2: 1-5
Now that this particular Strongman is dead, we must ask for Justice, and we must ask the Lord for the Spoils! I believe this represents a treasure cache of Wisdom, and this Wisdom is for the great ingathering of the ages!
Bin Laden exerted a strongman-like force first over that region of the middle east and expanded his coercion on 9/11/2001. His death represents the beheading of the Strongman spirit but we must be vigilant in prayer and in action to prevent the underlings to regroup and to reorganize. Please pray Psalm 83 and Psalm 91 accordingly.
Concomitantly, you and I must ask for Heaven's Wisdom to recognize and fully eradicate all Strongman influences in our lives and ministries! The 'taking-out' of Bin Laden clearly beacons God's intentionality to rid the world and His Bride of all Strongman operation and influence!
Two Enemies to Rout Right Now!
A political spirit in our personal lives, our businesses, and first and foremost---in our Churches and Kingdom gatherings!
God is saying: "Govern, don't politic!"
We are to be the increase of the Government of Jesus Christ in the realm of Earth---now! We are to Govern, we are not called to politic.
A religious spirit in our personal lives, our businesses, and first and foremost our Churches and Kingdom gatherings!
We have just come through Passover and Resurrection Sunday celebrations. One way in which we prepared for these solemn and joyous times was to remove all leaven from our lives. We must remove the leaven of Herod--the Political Spirit, and we must remove the leaven of the Pharisees---the Religious Spirit.
The Kingdom of Heaven come to Earth and the Church that Jesus is Building is neither Political nor is it Religious.
Let us celebrate and spoil the Strongman by submitting all areas of our lives and ministries to the searching of Holy Spirit so that no leaven may be found in us, and so that we are untainted workers for the Harvest of the Ages!
