Quotes from history... with additions
- If you don't read and listen to the news, you are uninformed.
- If you do read and listen to the news, you are misinformed.
- If you meditate on Scripture and listen to the Spirit while also reading honest, non-agenda-driven, informed reporters who are willing to give their lives for truth, you can become truly informed.
- True knowledge is revelatory knowledge (2 Pet. 1:3,8; Col. 2:2; 3:10; Eph. 1:17,18).
- Einstein: Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience.
Journaling application
- Lord, what is my foundation for experiencing life to its fullest and coming to truth?
- Hearing God's voice is as simple as: 1) quieting down (Ps. 62:1-5), 2) beholding Jesus at my right hand (Ps. 16:8; Acts 2:25), 3) asking for His revelation and tuning to spontaneous thoughts and spontaneous pictures (Jn. 7:37-39; Jer. 2:13;10 pictures), and 4) recording what flows (Hab. 2:1,2; Rev. 1:9-11). I then test it, ensuring it lines up with Scripture (Ps. 1:2; Jn. 10:35; 1 Thess. 5:2) and is affirmed in the hearts of my three spiritual advisors (2 Cor. 13:1; Prov. 11:14). See this link.
My journaling
Mark, hearing My voice is simple. Any child can do it. I am the River that flows within. I am the Water of Life. I am the Fountain of Living Waters. Those who drink of Me will never thirst again.
Come, drink so that your heart and soul may be satisfied. Nothing other than Me will satisfy the hungry and thirsty soul. Come and drink daily.
Eat of My fresh manna daily. I am the Bread of Life. I am your all in all. Come, let us dine together.
I am the lover of your soul. Come, my beloved. 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:20)
Journaling from Ken Adrian
Take in the logos of My Word and breathe out the rhema of My Spirit. The Word of God and the Spirit of God working in the people of God. That is what I want to do in you. Allow My Spirit to breathe life into the Word as you digest the Word within you. Inhale My Word and exhale My Spirit through your spirit. Don’t just breathe in and don’t just breath out. You must do both. Allow the truth of My Word to transform your mind. Allow My Spirit to breathe out My flowing thoughts. My Spirit is Breath. Fill up your spirit with My Spirit and allow Me to guard your heart and your mind as you allow My Spirit to fill your heart and mind.
Come to me all who are thirsty, come to the waters (Isa 55). Ken, I know that you hunger and thirst for Me. Come to Me with your thirst. Come to Me and drink and streams of living water will flow from within you (John 7:37-38). Allow the river of My Spirit to flow in you and through you. Drink deeply of Me and My Spirit. The life-giving water of My Spirit will quench your spiritual thirst. Allow Me to flow through you. I want to speak to you and through you. Abide in Me and I will abide in you. Desire Me more than anything else. Above all, put on love (Col 3:14). I am reminding you of Peter’s confession. Ken, do you love Me more than these? I want your complete love and devotion. As you remain in My presence, I will pour out My Spirit on you and give you My gifts which you will use for My honor and glory, not your own. You are simply My vessel or container which I want to fill with My Spirit and operate My gifts in you. I want you to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I want to begin to exercise My gifts in you. Follow the way of love and eagerly desire My spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophesy (1 Cor 14:1). You have the gift of administration, but I want to release many more gifts in you. I want to satisfy your spiritual thirst. Drink deeply of Me.
Since we see through a glass darkly, what is really important?
- For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Cor. 13:12-13)
- When is the stated story not the whole story? Almost always!
- We walk in humility, knowing change is constant and the path gets continually brighter (2 Cor. 4:6; 2 Pet. 1:19).
