LaWanda – Jesus, my precious Lord and Savior, I am undone in your presence. ♪♪ “All my words fall short. I’ve got nothing new. How could I express all my gratitude? O Lord, I know it’s not much but I’ve nothing else fit for a King,” ♪♪ so I will just say Hallelujah, Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! My precious, precious Lord.
I see you today as Christ of the Andes, on the mountain top with your arms outstretched wide as you survey the world below. This is a beautiful picture, Lord, but it seems kind of sterile. There is no one with you, Lord. And then the statue seems to come to life and you shout, “Come! Come! Come! All ye who labor and are heavy laden, come to Me and I will give you rest.” Now the mountain seems to come alive too, Lord, as people hear your voice and scramble to get to you. We are all weary, Lord. We have been carrying our burdens for way too long and they are heavy.
Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one, YES, come, come and come again but you do not have to wait until I seem to come alive in your eyes. I don’t come alive. I AM ALIVE! I AM LIFE! And you never have to scramble to get to me. The moment you turn your eyes toward Me, I am there. And as a believer, it is even better, for I am within you. So listen to Me now, dear one, all you have to do is turn from whatever it is that has captured your attention and look at Me. By turning to Me, you are saying, “I need you, Jesus. I want you, Jesus. What I’ve been doing is not working. I can’t do this on my own, Lord. Will you help me?” All of that in one glance. Nothing more is needed, dear one, because I know you so well. Once a day or a thousand times, I am here waiting for you to come home to Me again. And remember, dear one, with Me every “again” is…A…GAIN!
