God speaking in Eric's journaling: Ask My people to look up! Exhort them to engage the eyes of their spirits and see what I AM doing!
Ask them to incline their ears that they would Hear My Voice and believe! That they would Hear My Voice and KNOW Me! Yes! Truly I long and desire to converse with My children, let the one with an ear hear Me, and then the one who hears may respond to Me. Oh how I long for this in My Church! I AM alive! I AM still speaking! I AM still giving vision, if you will only have the faith to receive and hear! Look up, oh Church and see! For I AM doing a new thing! Look up, oh Church and see! For I AM among you and guiding you. Incline your ears, oh people and Hear Me! For I AM crying out that you might only listen and know Me with a deep knowing! Incline your ears to hear! You call on Me, oh Church and ask for My glory, but will you look to see it? You call on Me, oh Church and ask for answers, but will you hear them? Arise My people and wake from your slumber! The time has come that you incline your ears to Hear My Voice and open your eyes to receive My vision. Here I AM! I stand before you with good gifts if you will only receive them! Look up! Look up! Today, I AM calling My Church, Look Up!
Mark Virkler's reflection on God's instruction
If you look at the horrendous evil taking place worldwide around us, you will be filled with fear and terror that society may collapse.
If we simply review the Bible for atrocities, we will find plenty.
- The world was destroyed in a flood because man's imaginations were continually evil (Gen. 6:11-13).
- A homosexual mob demanded a visiting male be turned over to them, and instead a father sent his daughter out to be raped all night and she was found dead at his doorstep in the morning (Gen. 19:22-30).
- The Israelites were enslaved into a lifetime of labor in Egypt, and Christians were set afire as tourches and slain by lions by the evil Roman government.
I am instructed NOT to gaze upon evil as it destroys my spirit, soul and body. Instead, I am to fix my eyes on Jesus (Heb. 12:1,2). Only then will I find peace and hope. Today we are all challenged to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and hear from Him, the Wonderful Counselor, as to what He is doing and what He would have us do to release His light into the world in which we live.
Journaling application
Lord, I love You. I am so thankful that You rule, and that You have seated me beside You in heavenly places to rule and reign with You (Eph. 2:6; Col. 3:1-3). What would You speak to me today?
