God speaks about His breath in us - Journaling by Linda Garmon
Author: Linda Harmon
Linda - Good morning, Lord, I love you! Today and always I belong to you. Your wisdom astounds me. Talk to me about the breath that you blew into man. The workings between breath and heart and life as you designed it to be.
Vision - I see a poster of the circulatory system, only it is animated. I see the lungs expanding with breath, sending oxygen-rich blood to the heart. The heart pumps the life-giving, oxygen-rich blood throughout the body to revive, restore and nourish the body. The blood that is oxygen-depleted returns to the heart to be pumped back to the lungs for more oxygen so the process can start again. Amazing.
God - Yes, my child, it is amazing. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. By design, I placed within you the absolute need for the breath that brings life. I created your heart to pump the life-giving blood throughout your body, throughout your lifetime, without your assistance. Your heartbeat and your breath both function by an involuntary response by my design.
There is a parallel here for you to understand, Linda. The same way you need every breath of oxygen for life on earth, you need my Spirit breath to be able to fuel your heart with the life-giving blood provided by Jesus, that will continually cleanse, purify and nourish your spirit man. The difference is that unlike your physical body, the process of your spiritual breath is a voluntary act of your humility and submission. When you acknowledge your absolute need for Me, and you willingly inhale my Spirit life, something miraculous will begin to happen in you. As you purposefully continue to inhale my life-giving Spirit breath, daily making it a practice, you will find yourself craving my Spirit to the point that you feel desperate without it. Then it will become in you a voluntary, involuntary response.
Linda - Father, this sounds amazing. It sounds like a supernatural way of living that should be the natural to your children. I want this, Lord. I say, Amen! I say, Yes LORD.
