Healing Soaking Prayer is defined as coming into Jesus’ presence and experiencing His compassionate, healing and revelatory touch. It is resting in the healing rays of Almighty God (Hab. 3:4). His compassion is the "carrier wave" upon which ride His healing power and revelation.

As we soak, we commune with God, experiencing Him – His emotions, power, voice, visions – as FLOW - flowing thoughts, flowing pictures, flowing emotions, flowing energy (Jn. 7:37-39).

1

Come before the Lord's presence "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." (Ps. 100:4). Pray or sing in tongues. Cease striving. Smile. Use Sea of Galilee soaking music or your favorite soaking music

2

Ask, "Lord Jesus, what is the root cause of this (insert sickness)? What occurred in my life at the time of, or just before, this condition erupted?" Listen - tune to flow. Act on what the Lord reveals. Nighttime dreams can reveal.

3

Ask, “Lord, what blocks would hinder Your healing power from flowing freely and restoring me to full health?” Blocks include: judgments against self, others and God, anger, fear, hopelessness, sin, doubt, abandonment, poor diet, poor exercise, must cast out demons, waiting for fullness of God’s time – as here and here.

4

Ask, “Lord, what words of healing would you speak to me?” Follow His instructionsBask in His healing rays. Lay your hand on the spot being healed (perhaps tap). Take your time. Speak healing as He instructs you to. Smile, relax. It is HIS power that is doing the work. Thank Him for the healing which is springing forth.

Seven follow-up exercises

  1. Twice a day meditate, give thanks - Doctors often prescribe taking medicine twice a day. We are to come before Him “every morning and evening to thank and to praise the LORD” (1 Chron. 23:30). Re-experience this healing worksheet by prayerfully rereading and acting on the healing words and steps the Lord gave you in the exercise above.  Smile. Take your time. See Jesus present, restoring you and celebrating your healing. Feel His Spirit’s transforming touch. Then carry His vision and words in your heart throughout the day.
  2. MAINTAIN laser focus on what God has revealed - We are transformed while we look at God’s reality in the spirit world (2 Cor. 3:17,18). Spend MORE time each day seeing what God has revealed in His vision than seeing with your physical eyes. This laser focus releases an intense stream of God’s divine power to transform your situation. Whatever we focus on grows within us. Whatever grows within us, we become. Little faith (Matt. 14:31) comes from spending the majority of our time gazing at circumstances. Growing strong in faith (Rom. 4:20) comes from spending the majority of our time gazing upon the vision God has given us. Abraham’s faith grew so strong that it could not be undermined by the circumstance that he and Sarah were beyond childbearing age (Rom. 4:19). Abraham heard God’s voice, saw a vision of the promise fulfilled, pondered, spoke, and was moved to action, which IS God’s creative process which produces miracles.
  3. Strong immune systems produce health, so laugh, sing and be thankful - Our immune systems are switched on as we abide with a merry heart, which the Bible says does good like medicine (Prov. 17:22). This includes kingdom emotions of love, joy, peace, compassion, gratitude, thanksgiving, faith, and hope (Matt. 14:14; Rom 14:17; Gal. 5:22; 1 Thess. 5:16-19). In and for everything give thanks; rejoice evermore. Speak to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the God and Father (Eph. 5:19-20 YLT; Col. 3:16 NASB). What’s incubated in our hearts is manifest in our bodies. Out of the heart flow the issues of life (Prov. 4:23). Explore heart/mind coherence.
  4. Speak illumined healing Scriptures as part of the rhema concerning your healing. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Prov. 18:21).  Since God is Spirit (Jn. 4:24), and we see that matter is created and restored by His spoken word (Gen. 1:3; Jn. 9:6,7), we can speak the revelations of God to our spirit and matter will come into alignment. (See Resources below for a downloadable list of personalized scriptural promises of healing). As you speak these truths over yourself and others, see Jesus present at your right hand, ministering healing to you and through you to others (Acts 2:25; Ps.16:8).
  5. After you have fully internalized and acted on the initial revelation which God has given to you (this could take hours, days or weeks), do the “Healing Soaking Worksheet” a second time and ask God for any additional instructions He would like to give you to fully release His provision for healing. God gave Abraham the additional instruction to circumcise his family after His initial instructions in Genesis 12 and 15. Obedience to the act of circumcision brought the miracle of Isaac’s birth within a year (Gen. 17, 21). See these examples of Jesus’ instructions to those He ministered healing to. Ask God if there is any additional instruction which will allow you to step into the full manifestation of divine health. Also, seek out informed counselors (Prov. 15:22).
  6. The manifestation of your healing will appear as you continue in obedience to what He has spoken - believing, seeing, feeling, speaking and acting (Mk. 11:23; Lk. 17:14,15). Make sure your head, heart and body are in perfect alignment. 1) Head – Believe the rhema of God. 2) Heart – Experience confirming emotions. Emotions are the response of the vision you gaze upon, so let God show you His picture of His promise already fulfilled (Gen. 15: 1-6) and your emotions will shout “YES! We agree!” 3) Body – Emotions move you to action, so act in faith as God has instructed you to. This internal alignment of head (belief), heart (emotions) and body (actions) allows the power of God to flow freely and produce a miracle.
  7. The synergy of several ministering together multiplies the release of revelation and healing power so you can do healing soaking prayer in a group as described in this blog.
