I want to introduce you to a new friend of mine, Craig Perkins, who is offering a tremendous ministry of healing music to all of us. Here is a bit of his broken background which was healed by the Wonderful Counselor. His website is Heart Touch Music. You will note in the items listed below, Craig and I have collaborated on two prayer renditions so far, and more will be coming in the future.

“”Childhood memories held violence and abandonment for Craig through the dysfunction of alcoholic parents. Hometown in Gaylesburg, Illinois, was not a home, but a battleground for fear and neglect, eventually leading to the desertion by both parents through a nasty divorce. In the middle of his 8th grade school year, Craig and his sisters were taken into the custody of the courts, and eventually shipped off to the Oxford Orphanage in Oxford, North Carolina. Institutional living for 320 children was all he would know through high school graduation.

Craig says: “Now, as a healed Christian, I have had a long-standing desire and vision for seeing my music get connected with not only counselors who need the resource but for the deeply hurting people they touch. As in Ephesians 5:19 I see that we are admonished to use psalms, hymns and spiritual songs and make melody in our hearts to the Lord. I also sense that these melodies can become balm and ointment for hurting people.”
