Miracle on Kings Road by Joyce Turner
A phone call would take me to my knees as I heard my daughter-in-law’s voice say, Mom is George with you? Yes, I replied, why are you asking? Mom, it’s your son, he was brought to the hospital in an ambulance this afternoon. He was waiting in the dentist office when he blacked out and had a seizure. Tests have been done, but they cannot find a reason for his problem. Mom, God was watching over him! He was confused as to when his dentist appointment was and he left the house one hour earlier than his scheduled appointment. If he had not left early the blackout and seizure would have most likely happened while he was behind the wheel of his truck. God only knows what would have happened to him as well as those who were on the road traveling in his direction. In addition if he had not left early he would have been home alone and helpless. I know God did not cause this to happen, but I do know that He protected your son and my husband by having him leave early.
You could see very clearly God’s hand in the events of that day! The dentist’s office location would result in faster medical attention for our son! God had him at the right place at right time, because the dentist’s office was only five minutes from the hospital. He also had doctors and nurses by his side until the ambulance arrived.
Praises came from my lips as she continued to fill me in on the events of that day and how God’s miracle working hands had prevented a major tragedy not only to our son, but also those in his path. That day a miracle took place on Kings Road!
We believe with all our hearts that angels were watching over him and escorting him to an early destination of help and protection. Psalm 91:11 &12 says, “For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
Even though other issues have arrived that have caused concerns for our family, he is alive! We can hold him in our arms, tell him how much we love him and how life is much better with him in our lives! We are so thankful to God, our Father, this Christmas Season for the blessings and the gift of our son. This Christmas Season, seize every opportunity to be with the ones you love! We are not promised any tomorrows, so make today count in the lives of those you love.
