There is a fresh wind of revelation sweeping across the Body of Christ in this hour. It is not new, but it is fresh. Some call it a Grace Awakening. This massive "grace awakening'" is coming like a tsunami wave of revelation and visitation about to sweep over the Body of Christ. The watchmen, intercessors and prophets all over the world are saying they see it on the horizon (though many are not sure what to call it yet). The water level is already rising and it is bigger than most of us even realize.

One of it's elements of this grace awakening will be "grace-filled" holiness. Titus declared this about it: “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:11-14

It is not about rituals or religion but about relationship. It is about a free and unencumbered life of fellowship with our Creator/Daddy. It is about being awakened to a deeper understanding of who He is and what He has done for us. It is an unveiling of a God who is gracious, merciful and full of compassion; Who loves us, enjoys us and wants a level of relationship that few have deeply explored, and I would dare say none have fully explored, but more and more are discovering.

This kind of relationship was the apostle Paul's magnificent obsession. He wanted to know Him. He said he was willing to throw everything else away and consider it as rubbish in order to "be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection" (Philippians 3:9,10).

But just knowing about God is not enough. And just knowing about His love is only the beginning. In fact Paul went on to say, in his letter to the Ephesian Christians, that his prayer for them was "that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; (Ephesians 3:17-19) He was not referring to information about God’s love but about knowing God's love by experience. So is it any wonder that the enemy is shaking in his boots and trying to sow confusion through pushing to the forefront certain errant elements of Universalism masquerading as the grace message? It is a time to be watchful.

Universalism as applied to Chrstianity is a system of theology which includes the belief in the doctrine of universal reconciliation - the view that all human beings and all fallen creatures will ultimately be reconciled to God, without exception. It overlooks and ignores the need for repentance and faith in Christ in order to become a Child of God, and declares all will be saved. There are some who teach it as the Doctrine of Inclusion saying there is no more such thing as sin, which violates a whole host of Scriptures dealing with confession and repentance. Another version of this system of belief is that all mankind is presently "saved." including those who have no concious awareness of it yet. Unfortunately, some of these errors are bringing mixure to the glorious message of grace, with the net effect of turning grace into licentiousness (see Jude 4)

We must be very careful not to diss a true move of God because of some of the fringe elements being identified with it. We want to fully embrace this grand “Grace Awakening” as it sweeps across the Body of Christ, while at the same time avoiding any doctrine that diminishes or bypasses the need for repentance and faith in the atoning work of Christ Jesus. For it is Christ Who is invites us to come boldly before His Throne of Grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
